What to Expect From Natural Stone

Pitting, dry fissures, beauty marks, unusual veining, concentrated or reduced areas of color, differences in polish, and variations in shade, pattern, or color within the same slab or slab bundle are inherent characteristics of natural stone.

These natural variations are not considered defects and are not acceptable reasons for rejecting the stone after installation.

Important Selection Note

Choose the Material That Fits Your Expectations

Customers who prefer a more uniform appearance may wish to select a stone material with fewer natural variations and characteristics.

Warranty Coverage

Covered Under This Warranty

Lifetime residential warranty against natural-stone material defects.
Commercial warranty for one year from the date of Certificate of Completion.
Engineered stone products are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties.
Seams are warranted for one year from the installation date.
Undermount sink attachment is warranted for one year.
GerrityStone seals each applicable piece of material before or during installation to help improve stain resistance.

Important Conditions

Conditions & Limitations

GerrityStone may void the warranty if proper care is not maintained.
Visible neglect, misuse, or abuse may void warranty coverage.
House settling may cause seams to open over time.
Undermount sinks are attached using clips and silicone.
Allow silicone to cure for 24 to 48 hours before connecting plumbing.
Manufacturer warranty terms apply to all engineered stone products.

Specialty Materials

Materials With Limited Coverage

GerrityStone does not warranty honed, brushed, leathered, or antiqued finishes—or quartzite, marble, travertine, limestone, slate, or onyx—against etching, scratching, staining, or structural-integrity issues.

These surfaces may be more susceptible to damage because of their porosity and other unique physical characteristics.

Not Covered

Things Not Covered Under This Warranty

Additional costs or modifications involving plumbing, electrical work, tile, cabinetry, or related trades.
Repairs or replacements that require work outside the stone installation itself.
Damage resulting from modifications made after GerrityStone’s original installation.
Sink modifications performed after installation.
Installation of a garbage disposal after the original sink installation, due to added weight and vibration.
Damage caused by neglect, misuse, abuse, or improper maintenance.
